About Matt

Growing up, my parents taught me that the secret to going through life without regret is to live authentically. I became a wedding photographer to discover what makes each relationship unique, witnessing the tender moment between father and daughter and seeing the sparks between two people in love. These are the kinds of images I want to take: photos that show the candid moments of love and laughter.

My Shooting Philosophy

It’s important that I get to know you on a personal level. That way, I get to feature you in the best light and capture those moments when you are at your happiest and most relaxed. It’s all about trust and less about posing you for a photo -- making sure that your personalities shine through in every picture.

What is your style?

My style is: “soft, bright, warm and clean”. I always try to make our photos look natural, taken in the best light possible. I’m really big on candid moments – making sure that my couples can be themselves in front of the camera.

How many photos will we receive and when will we receive them?

You have access to all the photos taken during your shoot! Just provide a storage device or include a snazzy Gold USB to your package. The edited photos take between 2-8 weeks depending on the type of shoot we’ll do.

How long do shoots last?

For the wedding day, we shoot for 12 hours. After that, we can stay and party with you! We offer different packages for engagement and milestone shoots, depending on what you’re need.

How many photographers will be shooting during the wedding?

When you book with us, you’ll always get me as your lead photographer! I’ve done intimate weddings solo, especially destination weddings. I have a team of photographers for bigger events. I recommend booking our () or () package for weddings above 80 guests to get a more complete coverage of all the angles during the day!

I’m not very comfortable in front of the camera.

Most couples I meet tell me they don’t know how to pose, but that might be because the photographer doesn’t make them feel comfortable. Before accepting any booking, I do a discovery meeting with each couple to look for our chemistry and if I can help you feel at ease. Nobody looks bad in photos when they feel relaxed in front of the camera. My goal is to help you do that. Trust me, you’ll look great!

What languages do you speak?

I speak English, Filipino, and Hokkien Chinese fluently. I can get by in Mandarin Chinese and German.

Do you cover same-sex weddings?

Of course! Any occasion that celebrates love is worth capturing.

What things do we shoulder in a shoot?

For anywhere outside the Greater Manila area and around the world, travel costs, meals and accommodations – I’m flexible with these when we discuss the details of your shoot.

Would you need to be provided meals during shoots?

Yes please! I would be very grateful to be fed the same meals like the other guests, but any meals and drinks are appreciated to fuel me for a day of moving around!

How can we make sure our pictures turn out amazing?

Light is everything! We'll discuss how to fit in portraits throughout the day, to make sure we can create the most beautiful pictures.

Can we book you for more than one day?

Yes! If it’s going to be a multi-day affair, contact me to talk more about special packages.

Do you offer discounts?

I give special rates for weddings during the week and off-seasons! Ask me about it when we meet.

Why should we hire you?

Because it can be so much fun! The shoots are very chill. It’ll be like hanging out with a friend who just so happens to be a photographer for a living!

How do we hire you?

Head to the contact page and send an inquiry! I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. We’ll schedule a discovery meeting over coffee or dinner with you and your fiance(é) and take the next steps from there.

What's your work process like?

It’s all about trust. Before booking any shoot, we’ll have a discovery meeting and see if there’s chemistry (think of it as a first date). What lets me capture your best selves is getting to know you more than just a client but also as a friend. That’s what makes shoots and meetings really fun!
